2016 Honda Accord vs 2015 Honda Accord
When new Honda models are released, we often get asked how these new vehicles compare to last year’s models. In the case of the new Honda Accord, which is now available here at Wheaton Honda and other dealerships in Canada, there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the 2016 model. If you are looking to compare the 2016 Honda Accord vs 2015 Honda Accord, we can help. We will go over the changes and updates to the sport sedan and coupe lineups so you can understand what’s new in the Accord.
The 2016 Honda Accord has a lot to offer when compared to the 2015 model. The newest Accord has had a major facelift and has been fully redesigned from the front fascia to the rear bumper. There is a new grille, headlights, taillights, and much more for the 2016 Accord. If you look at the image above, you can see the difference this restyling has made between the two models. This redesign covers both the 2016 Accord Coupe and Accord Sedan, giving each vehicle a sportier, more sophisticated look. There will also be updated interior upholstery as well as new colours inside and outside. One new exterior colour for the sedan model will be Lunar Silver Metallic, which was not available for the 2015 model.
Other Accord changes from 2015 to 2016 include updates to the standard features. The Honda Sensing suite was previously not available for every Accord model, but it is now. These high-tech safety systems can either be found standard or can be added on to every trim level of the Accord.
Every 2016 Accord model and trim also gets a multi-angle rearview camera, 7-inch Display Audio system with updated smartphone connectivity, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, and LED daytime running lights standard. The Accord Touring sedan model gets even more high-tech features like parking sensors and wireless charging.
When it comes to the engine specifications, the incredible performance of the Honda Accord returns for 2016. The same engines available for the 2015 Accord are also available for the 2016 Accord, however the fuel economy ratings have been slightly improved over the 2015 model.
