2016 Honda Pilot Release Date Canada
The Honda Pilot has long been one of the most popular models on the Wheaton Honda lot, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t room for improvement. As a brand that doesn’t rest on its past successes, but rather looks toward the future, improvement is exactly what we witnessed when the 2016 Honda Pilot debuted at the 2015 Canadian International Auto Show. The spectacular new SUV gets an immediately noticeable exterior redesign, which trades the boxy shape of the outgoing model for a sleeker, more modern stance.
Update: The 2016 Honda Pilot is set to launch at Canadian dealership on July 31, 2015
You can view the gallery below to evaluate the Pilot’s new styling, but before we dive into some of the newest features and engineering feats, let’s take a minute to discuss the 2016 Honda Pilot release date in Canada. The 2016 Honda Pilot is expected to arrive at Wheaton Honda and dealerships throughout Canada in the summer of 2015, so keep tabs on our blog and inventory later in the year so you can be one of the first behind the wheel.
Although Honda has yet to reveal horsepower and torque ratings, the automaker did provide numerous details about the 2016 model. At its heart, the 2016 Honda Pilot will sport a re-engineered version of the current 3.5-liter V-6 engine. While every Pilot will be fitted with that engine, there are two available transmissions. Lower trims will sport a 6-speed automatic, which is a gear more than the 2015 model, while higher trims will utilize an all-new 9-speed configuration. Front-wheel drive is standard, but a new all-wheel drive system will be available to provide more traction and confidence in harsh weather than ever before.
A massive overhaul in standard and available equipment makes the 2016 Honda Pilot more attractive to the modern driver. Most notably, the next-generation Honda Pilot will offer optional LED projector headlights with auto high beam capabilities, available 20-inch wheels, and a Panoramic sunroof. Standard push-button start also is included as a standard feature.
Inside, the 2016 Honda Pilot will offer more space, convenience, and family-friendly amenities than the outgoing third-generation model. Available in seven and eight passenger configurations, the new Pilot makes moving between rows of seats easier with a second-row sliding and tilting feature that takes no more than the touch of a button (see photo above).
