For some people, when the two best teams in the United States’ National Football League clash for the Super Bowl each year, their favorite part is the commercials. Advertisers and marketers pull out all the stops for the Super Bowl, as it is one of the highest rated television events of the year – annually. So what we end up with is some of the most creative, over-the-top and star-studded commercials of the year, and generally there are a ton from the automotive market.
This year, several companies decided to release their commercials early. While it might take away from some of the allure of seeing new commercials during the Super Bowl, at least we get to enjoy these great new commercials ahead of time! In addition to showcasing this great new feature, the commercial features a flock of sheep… suddenly learning how to sing, thanks to repeatedly listening to the song that their rancher listens to through the in-bed stereo. While the song may be iconic to some, a lot of people have been wondering what song it is playing in the commercial.
The answer to that, is none other than the classic Queen song “Somebody to Love.” Queen is a band that got its start in the ‘70s, and has created such hits as We Will Rock You and We Are the Champions, as well as Somebody to Love of course, which was originally released in 1976. You can watch the Honda Ridgeline commercial below, so we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
