2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype American Debut
Back when the all-new, next-generation Honda Civic was first introduced, it was announced that there would be five total models in the new Civic lineup. The first and second, of course, we’ve already seen, and they are the 2016 Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe versions. Later on, for the 2017 model year, we will see the even-sportier versions of the vehicle, when Honda introduces us to the new Civic Si and – for the first time ever in North America – the high-performance Civic Type-R. But before those are unveiled, we finally get to feast our eyes on the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype American debut, as it will be making its way to the New York International Auto Show later this month.

Not long ago, the Geneva Motor Show in Europe saw the official, global debut of the new Civic Hatchback Prototype. Very little is known about the vehicle at this time, but the prototype will be making its way to New York for North Americans to see for the first time. The prototype offers a first look at the aggressively sporty design of the brand-new Civic Hatchback, which we have not seen since the eighth generation of the compact car.
What is the Civic Hatchback Prototype?
The prototype highlights its sporty lines, and will offer not only the new Honda Turbo performance alongside the impressive suite of premium features and safety technology that have come to be expected from Honda Civic vehicle, but the addition of hatchback utility that offers that much more space for drivers who need more than a compact sedan’s trunk is able to offer.
As more information begins to trickle in about the upcoming 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback, the prototype that is making its American debut in New York, and anything else Honda Civic related becomes available, we’ll continue to keep you updated right here on the Wheaton Honda blog. So be sure to keep checking back, especially around March 22nd which is the date Honda has confirmed the Hatchback will make its debut.
