2016 Honda Civic Coupe Specs & Features
While we’re getting ready for the upcoming debut of the brand-new 2016 Honda Civic Hatchback at the New York International Auto Show later this month, we thought we’d go back and take a more in-depth look at the specs & features of the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe, the second model to be unveiled from the highly-anticipated tenth generation Honda Civic lineup. The Coupe version of the vehicle hasn’t yet made its way to Wheaton Honda, so some of the specifications are still up in the air, but we’ll do our best to detail what we do already know!

What’s new in the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe?
Obviously the most noticeable changes to the Civic Coupe are aesthetic differences. The style of the Honda Civic at its core, across all models, has changed dramatically for the better, offering a much sportier version of the vehicle than ever before. But changes to the way the vehicle looks weren’t the only ones made. Perhaps most exciting for many car buyers are the new powertrain options, but the 2016 Civic Coupe will also be packed with new safety features, connectivity technologies and much more.

Let’s look closer at the new powertrains though, as we believe that is what everyone will truly be excited about. For starters, a standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine will be found in the lower trim levels of the vehicle. It will deliver 158 horsepower alongside 138 pound-feet of torque, which is 15 and 9 more than last year’s 1.8L engine respectively. Fuel efficiency isn’t confirmed yet, but Honda has predicted a highway fuel economy of 5.7 l/100km.
More impressive, however, is the available 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 174 hp alongside 162 lb-ft. of torque while still somehow achieving even more impressive fuel economy ratings. We cannot wait to get our hands around the wheel of a new tenth-generation 2016 Honda Civic Coupe, and if you can’t wait either be sure to schedule an early test drive right here on our website to make sure you’re among the first to get in the driver’s seat. Until then, give us a call with any questions that arise.
