Rallycross Civic Coupe Specs & Features
You can see the fancy, unique new livery in the images above, and it actually makes for a pretty cool-looking 2016 Honda Civic. The vehicle was created from the standard chassis of a new 2016 Civic Coupe, but rebuilt as a true rallycross racecar by the folks at Olsbergs and the Honda Performance Development team. This Civic is a performance enthusiast’s dream, as it delivers an astounding 600 horsepower and can hit 96 km/h in just under 2 seconds.
“Globaly Rallycross is seriously extreme racing, ant it’s a terrific platform to showcase the new Civic Coupe to an enthusiastic, performance-minded young audience. We won’t encourage our customers to take 70-foot jumps out on the street, but we will use this platform to tell people about all the incredible technology and performance capabilities of our new Civic Coupe.”

Sebastian Eriksson of Sweden and Joni Wiman of Finland will tag team the 2016 Honda Civic Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship series this year, which will kick off on May 21st in Phoenix, Arizona. We’ll revisit this special Civic and the race series later this year when everything is said and done, but for now we’ll just wish the team the best of luck!
