[wrc_column grid=”2″ width=”1″ type=”start”]Remember way back in April when we spoke about the Honda giveaways that took place at the Toronto Blue Jays home opener? “Along with millions of people across the country, Honda is proud to celebrate what it means to be Canadian. The Blue Jays are Canada’s baseball team and the Honda Civic is Canada’s car, so we’re very happy to partner with the Jays on such a memorable event.”
– Dave Gardner, Senior Vice President of Operations, Honda Canada Inc.
Prizes & Winners
Of course the most prevalent prize of the evening was the Honda Blue Jays Canada Day towels given to the first 20,000 fans through the door, but the towels certainly weren’t the most exciting prize of the day. Matt Gallagher, a man from Brampton, Ontario, happened to drive home in a brand-new 2016 Honda Civic Sedan EX. Additionally, Maureen Beaumont and Annalee Kirk, residents of Utopia and Keswick respectively, brought brand-new Honda lawnmowers home with them, with plenty of mowing time left this summer!
In addition to these fabulous prizes and plenty of pre-game activities, the Honda Canada Foundation and the Ontario Honda Dealers Association presented Make-A-Wish Canada with a $5,000 check. All in all, it was a fantastic evening filled with fun and prizes, and we can’t wait until the next Honda Civic giveaway in September, for Fan Appreciation Weekend.
