2016 K-Days Events Edmonton AB
The time is drawing nearer each and every day, and we cannot wait until 2016 K-Days is finally here. The event kicks off on July 22nd and will run through the end of the month. As one of the biggest events in Edmonton AB, we’re extremely excited to check out all of the fun activities and performance throughout the 10-day festival. We’ve put together a few of the events we look forward to the most, but if you’d like to find out even more about the city’s biggest summer festival just head over to k-days.com.
One of the younger annual events at this year’s K-Days festival, we cannot wait for TechLife in Hall A of the EXPO Centre from noon to 10 o’clock at night every day. With tons of fun both digitally and on tabletop, TechLife is a great place to get together and celebrate technology and gaming. Plus, there will be tournaments and chances to challenge the best, including the ExtraLife Gaming Tournament and Canadian Drone Racing Championships.
Of course the event wouldn’t be complete without the main parade on July 22 at 10:00 a.m. The annual starting point of the entire fair, the parade this year will start on 100 St., turn right onto 102a Ave, then left on 107 St. and a left on 102 Ave before heading back to 100 St. With performers, animals, huge balloons, giveaways, and more, you won’t want to miss this festival staple. This year, the parade marshals will be Fire Chiefs Darby Allen and Ken Block, who stepped up and showed their bravery in the Fort McMurray evacuation this year.
This year the music is set to be off the charts! With two stages featuring a headline band each night, you’re getting two fantastic concerts for the price of just one ticket. With huge acts like Victoria Duffield, Monster Truck, Andee, Simple Plan and many more, you aren’t going to want to miss a single night of this incredible summer music festival.
If you happen to be one of the thousands of Edmontonians heading out to K-Days this year, we hope you have an awesome time! Be sure to get your tickets in advance to save a little bit of money.
