The brand-new 2016 Honda HR-V might have been knocked out of the spotlight a bit by the introduction of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic, but we know how truly awesome the new subcompact crossover is. Thanks to the Honda Magic Seat and up to 58.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity, there is actually plenty of space inside the subcompact HR-V. There are actually three different configurations that the Magic Seat can adapt to, depending on what kind of space you need to fit your cargo – utility, long and tall.
This is the most basic mode, as it simply means the Magic Seats are folded down flat to simply create more space. This is great when you’re helping a friend move or you bought something that’s a little too big to just fit in the cargo area.
Long Mode is perfect for items that are too long to fit in the cargo hold, like a roll of carpet or a kayak. It works by folding the right back seat flat, and reclining the front passenger seat, to create more space than the HR-V would normally offer.
If you need to transport something that can’t be set on its side, like a potted plant, then tall mode is perfect. Rather than folding the back seat flat, you’ll fold the bottom part up to create vertical space.
So as you can see, the 2016 Honda HR-V – despite being a subcompact – offers plenty of versatility and space. If you’re interested, be sure to give us a call or schedule a test drive right here on our website.
