2016 New Year’s Eve Events Edmonton AB

Can you believe the end of 2016 is nigh? With just over three weeks left in our calendars, we cannot wait to celebrate another wonderful year as we bring in the next one on December 31st. There are plenty of great events in Edmonton AB and the surrounding area to attend, but we’ve come up with a list of three great 2016 New Year’s Eve events that you might want to check out right here!

Other Local Events in the Edmonton AB Area

Strathcona County New Year’s Eve Festival

A classic event filled with fun activities, the Strathcona County New Year’s Eve Festival should be a great event for the whole family. With different activities like ice skating, an ice slide, shinny hockey, face painting, juggling, games, crafts, sleigh rides and much more to choose from, there is no end to the fun between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. You can get plenty of details about the event and all it offers on the event’s webpage.

Countdown at the Conservatory

Details are limited, but we’re sure you’ll have a blast at the 4-hour event behind hosted by the Muttart Conservatory. Countdown at the Conservatory will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and run until 2:00 p.m. as an early celebration, where they promise to count down to 2017 in style. We know there will be live music, a special New Year’s craft and many more activities for the whole family.

New Year’s Eve at Fort Edmonton Park

Perhaps one of the most unorthodox ways to ring in the new year, Fort Edmonton Park offers a wonderful 2-part event for anyone looking to enjoy the new year with more than simply counting down at midnight. First, bear witness to a hilarious reimagining of the classic Robin Hood tale in pantomime fashion with Robin Hood: A Pantomime in British Tradition at 2:00 p.m. Tickets run from $15.23 to $19.95 and the show will run 2 hours. Then at 4:30 or 5:30, for $34.60, $47.20 or $57.70 depending on age, you can get dinner for the whole family at Johnson’s Café in Hotel Selkirk, complete with live entertainment and wonderful food. New Year’s Eve at Fort Edmonton Park promises to be a great time.

No matter what you choose to do on your New Year’s Eve, we simply hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy ringing in the new year!
