Last week we gave you a few good ideas for where you can take your special someone out for the traditional Valentine’s Day dinner, but if you’re looking for something a little more out of the box we’ve got a few ideas for you as well. We’ve come up with three excellent date ideas for your 2017 Valentine’s Day, and they’re all right here in Edmonton AB.
Date Night Cooking Class
Rather than going out to dinner like every other boring Valentine’s date, why don’t you sign up for a Date Night Cooking Class at Get Cooking in the MacEwan University Student Residence at 11050 104 Avenue NW. For $139, you and your significant other will get some lessons from Chef Doreen Prei, who will teach you to make things like squid ink linguini with scallops, duck breast with pomegranate sauce, Beef Wellington and more.
What’s more romantic than a bouquet of flowers? An entire conservatory full of them. For just $12.50 per person, you can head over to the Muttart Conservatory at 9626 96A Street NW. Not only can you head into the beautiful pyramids with serenading music to accompany a number of Love Grows romantic activities, but you can even grab a romantic meal at Culina’s to make the night complete.
Valentine’s at Silver Skate
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on several days in February, you can head to Hawrelak Park for the Meet Me at Lovers’ Lane special event. With a number of events, like a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a trip through the ice castles, there is no shortage of romantic activities to attend for Valentine’s at Silver Skate.
