What is Honda HomeLink?

What is Honda HomeLink?

For this week’s How’s This Work, we wanted to take a look at a pretty awesome feature that is being included in many Honda vehicles these days. The strange thing about this feature is that it’s more for your home than your car, it just happens to be located in your Honda vehicle. We’re talking about Honda HomeLink.

How does HomeLink work?

HomeLink is a system that is built right into your vehicle that you can program to work with a number of different mechanical or electrical devices inside your home. The most obvious, and most often-used example of this would be the garage door. But it also works with things like interior lights, exterior lights, electrical door locks, a gate at the end of your driveway or anything of the sort.

While programming your HomeLink Universal Transceiver can seem a bit confusing and time consuming, it’s actually quite simple as long as you follow the instructions. You’re just going to have to press and hold some buttons in a certain order for a certain amount of time. You can watch the video below for a better explanation.

If you’d like to know which Honda vehicles come equipped with Honda HomeLink capabilities, feel free to give us a call at the sales desk and we’d be happy to help you track down the right vehicle to fit all of your needs. Our service desk would be happy to help you figure out any issues you might be having with HomeLink as well, so don’t hesitate to give them a call either.
