2018 Honda Pilot Specs & Features

By now you’re likely aware that there wasn’t much change in the Honda Pilot for the 2018 model year, but as we’ve said about different vehicles in the past, that doesn’t make the vehicle any less exciting or a less viable option in the midsize crossover segment. The Pilot is still packed with outstanding content wrapped in a brilliantly designed package that blends sophistication with sport, and it still delivers the same great versatility and safety fans of the vehicle have come to expect.

Performance & Capability

The 2018 Honda Pilot is powered by a 3.5L V6 engine that’s capable of doling out an impressive 280 horsepower alongside 262 pound-feet of torque. With technologies like its 9-speed automatic transmission, Intelligent Variable Torque Management all-wheel drive, and Intelligent Traction Management systems, the Pilot promises to deliver a responsive and enjoyable drive. As for its capabilities, the Pilot manages to achieve a trailer rating of 3,500 lbs. or, with the available towing package added on, up to 5,000 lbs.

Honda Sensing & Safety

When it comes to safety features, the pinnacle of the Pilot is, of course, its Honda Sensing suit of technologies. The package features Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, the Lane Keeping Assist System and, lastly, the Collision Mitigation Braking System. However, in addition to Honda Sensing, there are a host of more traditional safety features that enhance the Pilot even more so. These include the Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Start Assist, all the way down to its six standard airbags, 3-point seatbelts and Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure.
