What are the Best Honda Cars for Families?

It’s pretty awe-inspiring the sheer number of awards that Honda vehicles have been receiving this year and continue to receive. Most recently, the U.S. News & World Report released their list of Best Cars for Families, which they do every year. Would you be surprised to hear that not one, but two Honda vehicles made it onto that list? Well, it’s true. In fact, since the awards were first introduced back in 2011, Honda has made it onto the list more times than any other brand on the market. With a total of 26 vehicle awards through the years, they have at least 10 more than the next closest brand, and they’re showing no signs of stopping any time soon.

Which vehicles won?

So, which vehicles won awards this year? It should be no surprise that one of them is the 2019 Honda Odyssey as it once again claims the Best Minivan title. However, on the other end of the spectrum, the 2019 Honda Accord was named the Best Midsize Car, which has us just as excited.

How are vehicles chosen?

U.S. News & World Report takes a lot of important data into account when deciding which vehicles will earn these exciting rewards, not the least of which are the official safety and reliability ratings from credible sources such as the NHTSA and IIHS. They also look at things like how many seats the vehicle has, space for passengers and cargo, family-friendly features that might be available and they, of course, take professional reviews into account.
