As you are likely aware by now, the 2016 model year saw the beginning of a brand-new generation for the Honda Civic. Not only did Honda decide to completely rebuild it from the ground up, but they also decided to introduce a couple of new models to the fold as well. Thus we present to you: the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Prototype in Edmonton AB. While details are still minimal at best, the prototype version of the newest Civic model was initially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, before making its North American debut in New York a couple of weeks later.
As this is just a prototype, we don’t know for certain that the finished product will look identical, but we’re pretty certain very few changes will be made. The new 5-door hatchback provides a vehicle class that hasn’t been available in a Civic for many years, creating a second Honda hatchback option in addition to the Honda Fit.
