Let’s start by diving into some of the specific changes for the 2018 model year Fit. Honda Sensing is one of the biggest features across the Honda lineup, and for the first time this year the 2018 Fit will come standard with the Honda Sensing Safety Suite on all CVT models. That means any CVT Fit that you get behind the wheel of will come with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Road Departure Mitigation among others.
But you’ll begin to notice the enhancements way before that, as the style has been updated from the exterior. The brand-new 2018 Honda Fit Sport offers a new aero-form front spoiler, a rear diffuser, bright orange pin-striping, 16” aluminum alloy wheels that adopt a gloss-black finish, a chrome finish on the exhaust pipe and side sill garnishes all to form an appropriately sporty and aggressive vehicle. On the inside, the Sport’s interior is black with orange contrast stitching and other accents.
As for performance, the 2018 Honda Fit is equipped with a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine featuring all kinds of technologies like direct injection and Variable Cam Timing. The engine delivers 130 horsepower alongside 114 pound-feet of torque. These numbers combine with a hose of other performance-enhancing features to allow the Honda Fit to deliver best-in-class driving dynamics.
