Advantages of the 2018 Fit
As you can see in the table above, these two hatchback sedans very clearly have their own set advantages. However, whereas the Mirage’s advantages aren’t that steep, the Honda Fit’s certainly is. For that reason, we’re going to work a bit backwards through the table this time. The fourth row looks at seating capacity, which is the one area these two sedans are evenly matched at 5 passengers.
However, the third row sees the Mitsubishi offer an extra 0.6 cubic feet of cargo capacity. While that might be an extra backpack or sack of groceries, it’s not a huge advantage. Things kick it up a notch for the Mirage in the second row though, as it utilizes 1.1 litres less fuel to travel the same 100 kilometres as the Honda Fit. Again, not massive, but you will save quite a bit of change at the pump over time.
2018 Honda Fit
2018 Mitsubishi Mirage
|130 HP||Horsepower||78 HP|
|7.6 l/100km||Combined Fuel Efficiency||6.5 l/100km|
|16.6 cu. ft.||Cargo Capacity||17.2 cu. ft.|
The first row looks at power though, and while we would have never considered the Honda Fit a powerhouse, it blows the Mirage out of the water by delivering an extra 52 horsepower. That’s a huge advantage that makes the Honda Fit much more enjoyable to drive. If you’re interested in making a 2018 Honda Fit your own, be sure to get in touch with us right away.
