Advantages of the 2018 Odyssey
Space and fuel efficiency are two of the most important aspects of any vehicle on the market, but this is especially true for minivans like these two. In the table up above, we analyzed these aspects in both minivans and listed the results. But we thought we’d go through what we found to give you an even better idea of how they compare to one another.
So, in the first row we looked at each van’s combined fuel efficiency and are pleased to say that the Odyssey utilizes a full litre less fuel than the Sedona to travel the same 100 kilometres, regardless of city streets or highway roads. And as if that advantage wasn’t impressive enough, the Odyssey continues to have a leg up as we work our way down the table through three different spatial specifications.
2018 Honda Odyssey
2018 Kia Sedona
|10.7 l/100km||Combined Fuel Efficiency||11.7 l/100km|
|38.4 cu. ft.||Cargo Capacity||33.9 cu. ft.|
|148.5 cu. ft.||Max Cargo Capacity||142.0 cu. ft.|
|211.0 cu. ft.||Passenger Volume||206.2 cu. ft.|
Behind the back seat of the Odyssey, drivers will have 38.4 cubic feet of space to fill with whatever they need to bring along, which is 4.5 cu. ft. more than the Sedona offers. When you need even more space, you can drop down all of the back seats to open up 148.5 cu. ft. in the Odyssey, this time 6.5 cu. ft. more than the Sedona. And perhaps most importantly of all, in the cabin you and your passengers will have 211.0 cu. ft. of space to stretch out and get comfortable in, which is 4.8 cu. ft. more than you would have in a Sedona.
