Find Out How the Different Accord Models Compare
Honda's sedans are fantastic vehicles, and the redesign of the 2016 Civic and 2016 Accord this year really has made them even more impressive. Quite possibly one of the best things about them is the choice between a sedan or coupe model. We often get questions about the differences between these two models, especially when it comes to the Accord. Let's take a look at the Honda Accord Sedan vs Coupe and determine just how these two models are actually different.
Let's start by taking a look at the similarities between the Accord Sedan and Coupe. Essentially these two vehicles are actually very similar. Both offer the same engine options, either a 4-cyinder or V6, the same power ratings, and the choice between a manual or automatic transmission. Since the Coupe and Sedan models have the same performance specifications, they also have the same fuel economy ratings. So, if you're attempting to choose between these two Accord models, you won't have to worry about sacrificing performance or efficiency depending on your choice.
The Accord Sedan and Coupe models also have many of the same features available. Every trim level of each model has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard along with the option to choose the Honda Sensing driver assistance package. The comparable trims of each model also have similar amenities available. The touring trims for the sedan and coupe models both have features like heated front seats, proximity key entry and pushbutton start, wireless charging, 19-include aluminum alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, and much more.

As for the differences, the biggest change from the new Accord Coupe model to the sedan model is of course the design. The sedan is a little bigger and has four doors while the coupe is more compact and has two. Though both models have seating for 5 passengers and a trunk with plenty of cargo space, the sedan has more space to utilize. The benefit of the coupe design is its smaller frame, which allows for more nimble handling on the road.
One other key difference between the Accord Sedan and the Accord Coupe is the number of trim levels to choose from. The Accord Sedan has LX, LX-Honda Sensing, Sport, Sport-Honda Sensing, EX-L, EX-L V6, Touring, and Touring V6 trims available while the Accord Coupe just has EX, EX-Honda Sensing, Touring, and Touring V6 trims available.
