Honda Safety Sense
Features
Lane Departure Warning
The system will alert you when the vehicle begins to drift into another lane without having the signal light engaged.
Collision Mitigation Braking System
Applies brake pressure if you do not slow down when it senses you’re at risk of an accident. If one is imminent, the system is designed to brake firmly.
Road Departure Mitigation
With a windshield mounted camera used to detect lane marking, it is engineered to help steer and even apply brake pressure to keep the vehicle from leaving the road.
Traffic Sign Recognition
This system uses a monocular camera to detect common traffic signs before you do, letting you know the current speed limit in the diver information display or the heads-up display.
Whether you’re behind the wheel or sitting in the passenger seat, Honda Sensing technologies are designed to make you feel safe and confident on the road.
Lane Keeping Assist System
Works in tandem with Lane Departure Warning to make sure the vehicle stays between the lines. It is designed to gently correct the steering if the vehicle starts leaving the lane without using an indicator.
To turn it on, press the ‘MAIN’ button on the steering wheel and when you see LKSA appear on the driver display, press the button with the steering wheel between the lanes.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Designed to maintain a constant cruise speed while also maintaining a set following distance from the vehicle in front of you. The system uses a radar unit at the front of the vehicle and a windshield mounted camera to gauge the distance of the detected vehicle ahead. If there’s no one in front of you, the vehicle symbol on the dash will appear as an outline. If a vehicle is detected, it will be filled in. You can also set the following distance at four different intervals – extra-long, long, middle, and short.
Forward Collision Warning
Working with the Collision Mitigation Braking System, it detects vehicles directly in front of you and alerts you if you’re approaching with too much speed. If the driver fails to respond to the alerts, the Collision Mitigation Braking is triggered into action.
