New 2021 Honda Accord for Sale in Edmonton, AB
The 2021 Honda Accord is one of the most stylish, spacious and generously equipped midsize sedans in the market, and it's just been given a bit of a refresh for the new model year. The Accord has a revised front fascia for 2021 that features a wider grille, some new fog lights, an extra dose of chrome trim, and LED headlights that have now been made standard across the range.
Changes on the inside are perhaps even more substantial with all models benefitting from an upsized infotainment system that's Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible, a rear-seat reminder feature, and the adaptive cruise control system has also been revised and improved.
Choose the Accord that suits you best
Buyers now have six different versions of the Honda Accord to choose from this year, and that means the Accord continues to appeal to a very wide audience. The entry model in the 2021 lineup is the Accord LX, and from there the trim levels go to the Sport, EX-L, Touring, Sport 2.0 and top of the range Touring 2.0.
The Accord has always been a sleek, stylish midsize sedan, but the tweaks to the front fascia have further accentuated the car's handsome presence and the sloping fastback roof hints at the sporty alter ego the Accord has when properly specified. The Accord may not look quite as futuristic as the giant pyramid-shaped greenhouses of the Muttart Conservatory, but it does look every bit as striking.
Don’t be fooled by the grown-up looks and stellar reputation for quality and reliability; the 2021 Honda Accord is also a sensational driver's car too. All-wheel-drive and V-6 engines may be things of the Accord's past these days, but modern turbocharged engines and an incredibly well-balanced chassis more than compensate.
The standard engine under the hoods of the LX, Sport, EX-L and Touring trim levels is a 1.5-litre turbo-four that puts out a very symmetrical 192 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque, which is sent to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. The stick-shift is standard with the Accord Sport, but the CVT is available as an option.
If you want something more powerful under the hood of your 2021 Accord, Sport 2.0 and Touring 2.0 models come standard with a 2.0-litre turbo-four which then ups the power ante to an impressive 252 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. With the Touring 2.0 trim level, the engine comes mated to an excellent 10-speed automatic transmission, but the Sport 2.0 model comes standard with that six-speed manual with the option of upgrading to the 10-speed auto if you prefer.
Putting the competition in the shade
Few people would come across the Accord LX for the very first time and identify it as the entry-level model in the 2021 Accord family. Honda has decided to go down the route of not offering an extensive list of options and has instead equipped all models with a sometimes staggering array of standard features.
Accord LX models come standard with dual-zone climate control, active noise control, a multi-angle rear-view camera, 17-inch alloy wheels, an electronic parking brake, an eight-speaker audio system, heated front seats and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. As well as Bluetooth phone connectivity and audio streaming and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, the system also offers Wi-Fi tethering, Siri eyes-free compatibility and SMS text/email functionality.
Genuine luxury is to be found standard in more than just the range-topping Touring 2.0 model too, with the likes of perforated leather seating surfaces, heated rear seats, and a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel standard in EX-L, Touring and Touring 2.0 trim levels. Touring and Touring 2.0 models even come standard with a head-up display.
