New 2021 Honda CR-V for Sale in Edmonton, AB
The Honda CR-V is one of the biggest-selling SUVs of any type in North America and the entire world, and it's not difficult to understand why. With a spacious and comfortable interior, excellent powertrains, impressive styling and that inimitable Honda build-quality and value for money, the 2021 Honda CR-V is an SUV at the very top of its game.
Choose your style
A lot of rivals of the CR-V offer buyers very little choice, but that's not the case here with the Honda. There are currently six different trim levels for buyers to choose from, which range from the very affordable and well-equipped LX-2WD to the sensationally stylish Black Edition. In between those two extremes we have the LX, Sport, EX-L and Touring trim levels, so there's every chance you'll find a model in the 2021 lineup that suits you down to the ground.
The CR-V can look just at home in Mill Creek Ravine Park as it would in the parking lot outside the clubhouse at Mill Woods Golf Course.
Well-equipped all the way
Although most buyers here in Canada will probably go for an LX model or higher due to the standard all-wheel-drive that will help you get from Spruce Grove to South Cooking Lake through our challenging winter conditions, the entry-level mode is still far from basic.
The LX-2WD comes standard with 17-inch alloys, two 12-volt power outlets, dual-zone automatic climate control, a driver attention monitor, a multi-angle rearview camera, remote start, steering wheel-mounted controls, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen Bluetooth infotainment system that's Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. LX models are essentially the same vehicle as the LX-2WD but with the addition of all-wheel-drive, so if you want to take a step up in standard features you'll have to go for a Sport or higher model.
Sport models add to the LX trim with the likes of 19-inch Shark grey alloy wheels, Honda LaneWatch blind-spot display, intermittent windshield wipers, LED fog lights, a one-touch power moonroof, power tailgate, sport pedals, an upgraded audios system and leatherette/fabric combination seats.
Black Edition models at the top of the range are very similar to the Touring trim level, except Black Edition models get an extra helping of blacked-out styling cues to add an extra dimension to the look and presence of the CR-V.
Every version of the 2021 Honda CR-V here in Canada gets the same engine, which is a thoroughly contemporary 1.5-litre turbo-four that develops 190 horsepower and 179 lb.-ft. of torque, which is then sent to the front or all four wheels through a standard CVT transmission. It should hardly come as a surprise that the entry-level LX-2WD trim level is standard front-wheel-drive, but the rest of the 2021 lineup comes standard with Honda's Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System.
The drivetrain of the 2021 Honda CR-V is powerful, punchy and easily up to the job of transporting a full complement of five people and all their stuff, but it's also pretty fuel-efficient too. Two-wheel-drive versions are rated at 8.3 L/100km in the city, 7.0 L/100km on the highway and 7.7 L/100km combined, while the rest of the range with that all-wheel-drive system are still rated as good as 8.7 L/100km in the city, 7.4 L/100km on the highway and 8.1 L/100km combined.
