Pogo Car Share Now Available in Edmonton

Pogo Car Sharing Edmonton AB

Driving through Edmonton in your Honda is a great way to get around, but it’s far from the only way to get from point A to point B. While Edmonton has great public transportation, a new service called Pogo Car Share is now available in Edmonton. As a car sharing service that provides members access to a number of vehicles any time of day or night, you can drive one of many Pogo cars parked around the city and only pay for what you use. This is a really cool service, and although there are still countless benefits to buying or leasing a Honda, Pogo Car Share is a great complement to vehicle ownership.

Where are Pogo cars parked?

Pogo owns a fleet of vehicles that are parked within a “Pogo Zone.” Zone boundaries cover the downtown core, Oliver, Old Strathcona and university areas. The exact boundaries are listed below. You can find where Pogo cars are parked using the Pogo mobile app or website. When you find a car in your area, you can reserve it for up to 15 minutes and then it’s yours to use for as long as you like. You can drive outside the zone, but it must be parked within the zone boundaries at the end of your drive.

How do I get in a Pogo car without keys?

When you become a Pogo member, you’ll be able to unlock a reserved car with the Pogo app or by holding your Pogo membership card or key fob to a card reader, which is located on the bottom side of the car’s windshield. When you get in the car, you can open the glove compartment with a provided PIN, then you’ll be ready to take off to your intended location.

Where do I park my Pogo car when I’m done?

One of the best aspects of Pogo car sharing is that you don’t have to return the car to its original location — you are only required to park it in a public parking spot within the Zone. Simply put the keys back in the glove compartment, close the windows, and use app, membership card or key fob the same way you did when you arrived at the car to signify the end of your trip. The credit card linked to your account will be automatically billed for the trip.

Pogo Car Sharing in Edmonton AB uses mostly hatchbacks, so if you’re lucky, you might even get to drive something as nice as the Honda Civic or Honda Fit.

Of course, you can learn more about Pogo Car Sharing in Edmonton AB at the Pogo Car Share website. Welcome to the city, Pogo!
